Hello, I’m Karisma, I’ve been practicing resilience throughout my whole elder millennial life. Maybe longer? (My mind is not made up on past lives.)

At 16, my family wound up homeless and I was put into foster care. I went on to attend UCLA (and graduate with honors), but while I was in college, my second foster mother took her own life. I’ve had a close friend be subjected to financial elder abuse at the end of her life, and had a spiritual encounter with her the night before she passed. I suffered childhood trauma, suicidal ideation, and a mental health episode, but bounced back from all. I lost almost all my worldly possessions twice in my life and started over. Alongside the trials and tribulations, there were also joys and transformations. And, on the practical side, I managed to pay off my student loans and build a multiple six-figure net worth.

I’ve always been a fighter. I’ve always been determined. But as an adult, I also learned how to be soft. I educated myself on various tools for healing and transformation. I studied Mindfulness Meditation for over ten years and led/lectured classes at Buddhist meditation groups. I received Somatic Experiencing therapy for a year and a half, learned and practiced astrology, and became a certified Integral Coach. I had various spiritual experiences, including a life-changing two-hour connection to Spirit where I felt remorseful for ever doubting God, felt connected to all the people on the street, and had the embodied feeling of being made of Love. It had the elements of some Near Death Experiences but I was fully alive.

If the things I’ve described reveal my depth and capacity for resilience to you, I invite you to reach out to me at souldeepresilience@gmail.com.
